Selecting the Right Grass for Your Needs

We offer three very different grasses that can fit just about any need in any landscape. Choosing the right grass for the right landscape is important in sustainability in the landscape. As you decide which grass is the right grass first ask yourself a series of questions:

  • How much traffic will the lawn receive?
  • Are there shade issues in the lawn?
  • What are the aesthetic expectations within the lawn areas?
  • What are the maintenance goals within the area?
  • Are there any other unique factors in the lawn area i.e., shallow soils, extreme pH etc.?
  • Are there regulatory restrictions on a particular type of grass in your area?

With over 50 years of trials, observations, and research we have developed the best lineup of grasses in the business.  We grow two cool season grasses -Pikes Peak Bluegrass and our deep-rooted Survivalist Tall Fescue.  We are adding the revolutionary warm season grass Tahoma 31 to our lineup as well.

We choose our grass blends to be aggressive and drought tolerant as well as resistant to many common lawn diseases. See the below chart for a detailed comparison.
